Bossa Nova Cafe on South Ealing Road stands out as a dependable local spot where the focus is genuinely on delivering solid, well-made cafe food in a warm and inviting setting. The atmosphere feels casual and welcoming, largely shaped by Trudie and Errol, whose friendly, attentive presence clearly sets the tone—regulars and visitors alike appreciate how personally they care for each guest.

Many drop in for breakfast, where the full English comes together with just the right balance of crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and well-toasted bread. It’s the kind of straightforward morning fuel locals grab on their way to work or meet friends for a relaxed start to the day. For a quicker bite, their baguette options—from classic Italian to vegan—offer fresh, simple fillings that pair nicely with a cup of well-brewed tea or coffee.

The menu goes beyond just breakfast staples. Sausage rolls and buttery croissants make for solid comfort snacks, while heartier choices like Greek salad and generously portioned rice bowls cater to a lunch crowd looking for something fresh but filling. The rice bowls, in particular, come with plenty of well-cooked rice and a good balance of toppings that appeal to those who want a satisfying yet not overly heavy meal midday.

Bossa Nova also shines in community involvement, hosting events like their seasonal kids’ “Spooky Tea,” which draws families from the neighborhood and offers something more than just food—a chance to connect in a friendly, familiar space. The vibe throughout the day stays consistent, with a steady flow of locals who appreciate the dependable quality and the kind of relaxed service that makes it easy to linger over a leisurely meal or a quick bite.

Visiting early in the morning or around lunchtime seems to offer the best experience, avoiding the occasional mid-afternoon lull and catching staff at their most energetic. Whether you’re popping in for a breakfast caffeine fix, settling in with a fresh baguette, or sharing platters with friends, Bossa Nova feels rooted in its community—a simple, honest cafe where food and friendliness hold equal weight.

Trudie and Errol are lovely & fantastic people, very warm and welcoming! The food they offer is exceptional, I am not local to them but not bothered about the long drive as without doubt they beat any cafe I have visited elsewhere so well worth it! I would fully recommend visiting and sampling the lovely food, dishes, recipes which they offer... I have also ordered some food platters to accompany my Christmas dinner with family..

This place is the definition of consistency and quality. I eat here twice a week and every single visit is outstanding. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It’s the kind of restaurant that turns first-time visitors into regulars. Can’t recommend it enough! Saying this I was actually there today too

Came in here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Ordered a full English and breakfast tea and both came super quickly and tasted perfect. Eggs were well cooked, toast was great quality and the bacon and sausages were done just right too. I would definitely recommend popping in for a bite or drink!

Amazing Spooky Tea for children and parents! It's the second year that we attended the Spooky Tea here and it's always fabulous!

Great Food & Atmosphere at Bossa Nova Café! I tried the Tuna Bowl (tuna mayo, rice, red onions, sweetcorn, black beans, guacamole, and spicy salsa) and the Grilled Chicken Bowl (rice, black beans, sweetcorn, red peppers, guacamole, and sour cream) for lunch. Both were generously portioned, well-balanced, and delicious, with perfectly cooked hot rice. For rice lovers, this place is highly recommended! The prices are reasonable, and both the latte and cappuccino are creamy and flavorful. The café’s blue, jazz and soul theme creates a great ambiance. The restaurant keeper and staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting for a satisfying meal and good coffee!

Trudy is such a talented chef and a true diamond Everything here is authentic, generous, and made with real love you can taste it in every bite. Unlike other places, all her cakes are handmade from scratch, and that’s true talent! The cakes are mouthwatering, food is scrumptious and the portions are more than generous. A real gem of Ealing.

Probably one of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had in London. Was just walking past and stopped in and was genuinely quite suprised and impressed how good it was. It’s also got a really nice, cosy vibe and the staff who run it are very friendly. Prices are really good too. Scrambled eggs on toast and a latte was only £9.

A cosy local cafe with a good breakfast choice and tasty jacket potato as well as variety of baked goods: pastries, cookies, desserts. Loads of boardgames to play while waiting. I wish the service could be a bit quicker.
